A Button Copeland Christmas...

So Christmas has come, and with a blink, today's almost over! An amazing day of Rory opening presents, Genie sleeping whilst we opened hers, insanity at the inlaws, a quick beer at the Rose and Crown and facetime love with my family. It's came to a close with the four of us on the sofa watching The Gruffalo. Amazing times, amzing memories. Merry Christmas to you all.

It's that time of year...

Just a short one. Christmas is coming in the Button Copeland house, and the magic is already starting to surface. I'll be force feeding Rory The Snowman within the next couple of weeks and getting her to help decorate the tree. Everything that is great about Christmas is coming back into my life.

Here's a fun little project I did a couple of years ago when I had the time film.

5 Things I know now I'm older

1. Macdonalds is NOT a good birthday treat.

2. Disney films are expensive.

3. Marmite isn't actually evil.

4. Being bored is a privilege.

5. We all turn into our parents.

A life in photo's

For the last year and a half I've been doing a "Photo a day" project, publishing them on my Facebook page and my Flickr site. 90% of the photo's are of my girls which pretty much reflects what my life is based around. It's been fun doing it and I'm not going to stop just yet. Enjoy :-) http://www.flickr.com/photos/thelacussolis/sets/72157627188004292/

Genie's first week...

So, she's a week old. Slowly she is settling in, Aurora is also getting used to having her around. She's not that pleased but she's getting there, slooooowly! Two perfect little girls!

Geneviève

It's taken me a couple of days to find the time to write, but here she is! Geneviève Penny Louise Button Copeland was born at 10:59am, 22/9/11 in the pool at Banbury hospital, weighing 7lb 4oz. Mother and Baby both fine! She's healthy, beautiful and seems to enjoy sleep, what more could we ask for?! Once again, a proud father.

Impending Fatherhood (again!)

Take a look at this picture. What's missing? Well, in approximately two weeks we'll find out! Boy or Girl, there's another Button Copeland joining the family and to be honest it's only just hit me! With our first child (Aurora May Anne) every week of George's pregnancy was a new drama. In total we had 13 scans, that's a lot! With this pregnancy there has been two, ridiculously normal and therefore the 38 weeks have flown by. Forgotten are the days of no sleep, peanut butter poos and random 2am screaming. These are all to be reprised, damn. Although there are lots of bad things on the horizon there are infinitely more good thing coming our way. Rory (Aurora) won't be happy, but she'll get used to her new brother/sister, We'll lose sleep, money and no doubt our minds, but we wouldn't have it any other way. You see, when you become a parent you realise that it's worth all of this plus dragging yourself to work everyday because you grow up and become responsible, not because you're mature or successful but because you bloody have to or someone who isn't you goes hungry, gets ill or goes without love and comfort. I've been a Dad for 18 months and I still haven't screwed it up. There's hope in us all! Tom

Mobile Blogging?

With my daughter napping in the back of the car and the Wife shopping for Ice cream I am trying out the Blogger App for IPhone. My literacy has never been that great but I do feel that I have a lot to say, especially with a growing family. So Although blogging is a good way to express your self in more than 140 Characters, I do find it difficult to actually write something that is interesting. This I will give a try if only to keep some sort of diary of out family life.

Twitter pt2.

just in case you were wondering, you can follow me here @thelacussolis

Twitter...

I recently started using Twitter to follow John Belitsky (@johnbelitsky), a guy who got a taxi from New York to LA a couple weeks ago. I've never really understood how Twitter works and I am slowly working it out. Presently I have 29 followers, a couple of those are people I know the rest aren't. It does seem interesting that I can project my views to just about anyone who finds me remotely interesting. We'll see how it pans out...
